DESCRIPTION:The album(Paper Trail) was originally scheduled to be released on August 12, 2008. It was subsequently pushed back twice; to September 2, and again to September 9. Paper Trail was finally released on September 30, 2008. T.I. had started working on the new studio album while undergoing under house arrest on pending gun charges in November 2007. T.I. Named the album's title, Paper Trail, it came from T.I.'s decision to write down lyrics on paper for this album. According to the rapper's representative, it is the first time that T.I. wrote lyrics on paper since his debut album I'm Serious.
